Sorry Ukraine Vladdie wants your shale reserves.

The Great Dictator

Unless you are blind or have possibly been recovering from taking too many Valume over the last few weeks, Vladimir Putin has decided to annex the areas of Ukraine that contains vast shale reserves, I know cause I looked it up. Ready? They are: The Yuzivska field located in Donetsk Oblast (province) and Kharkiv Oblast; and the Olesska field in Lviv Oblast and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

The area Russia will ask for will undoubtedly contain the aforementioned areas of shale.

What a genius, so far he has had to do nothing, and nothing is the game from here on out, his soldiers are already on the ground in the the areas of Ukraine he wants. Who is going to come throw him out? No one. Half the population is Russian. I think of Palestine and Israel, North and South Korea, situations that have the same calling; however, if Vladimir plays his cards right, he will not have to fire off a shot to seize a vast amount of shale. I would want Russia to back of too if I were the European Community, I mean think of all that money just slipping through your finger tips. This is no magical new weapon of war, take and then negotiate.

I thought the age of war at an end after I witnessed America drive into Baghdad in days. But, there is a new kid on the block a new kind of warfare that I will call kindly warfare. No one wants war, and the international community cannot stop him, so why try. Over the next weeks I will straight up guess that Vladimir will make Russia just a bit larger, and I am a good guesser.

So, as Charlie Chaplin said in his movie The Great Dictator: "Hannah, can you hear me? Wherever you are, look up, Hannah. The clouds are lifting. The sun is breaking through. We are coming out of the darkness into the light. We are coming into a new world, a kindlier world, where men will rise above their hate, their greed, and brutality. Look up, Hannah ... into the future, the glorious future that belongs to you, to me, and to all of us. Look up, Hannah. Look up!" In this new glorious future sometimes you don't even have to fire a shot, maybe Chaplin was right. We are in the age of kindlier men already, and this is called kindly warefare. As long as you keep the peace go for it Vladimir, but remember the rest of the world is watching, and your legacy should be one of peace, not one of killing.
